Vietnam's total retail sales of consumer goods and services in January increased by about 9.5 per cent year on year (YoY) and 2.7 per cent month on month to 573.3 trillion VND (~$22.6 billion), according to the General Statistics Office.Of that, revenue from retail sales of goods were estimated at $441.4 trillion VND—an 8.3 per cent increase YoY.
Retail sales of garments grew by 8.3 per cent YoY in the month, a domestic media outlet reported.

Localities that reported high revenue growth included Hai Phong (9.2 per cent), Hanoi (9 per cent), Quang Ninh (8.5 per cent), Ho Chi Minh City (8.4 per cent), and Da Nang (7.9 per cent).
